Contemporary Wedding Invitations
If you are planning a more modern-style wedding, then contemporary wedding invitations are for you! Contemporary does not have to necessarily exclude some of the traditional designs, but more reflects the more up-to-date fashion for wedding invites.
One of the most modern trends of invitations today is the vellum overlay invitations. These come with your wording printed on a transluscent sheet of paper that lies over a flat panel designed card. The two papers are then tied together with bows or special ties.
Hand made invitations have become a big part of contemporary themes. Many manufacturers are hand making stationery with nature designs and papers with real pressed leaves and flowers. Recycled papers are also becoming a trend amongst these manufacturers.
You may want to choose a more simple design with just initials engraved at the top or possibly a light bordered edge for your stationery. Or maybe a simple design with just the colors of your wedding.
